Shipper - 2nd Shift

Job TitlePrepares and processes outgoing truckload, LTL, and overnight shipments; ensures all items ship to the proper location, according to established schedules.Pay: $16.25/hour + $1.50 shift differentialSchedule: Monday through Friday - 2:30 PM to 11:00 PMOvertime Schedule: Monday through Saturday - 2:30 PM to 12:00 AMEssential Job Functions *Sorts packages and uses a hand scanner to determine shipment statusChecks boxes to ensure they are sealed, properly labeled and free from any damage; makes sure all quality standards are metEnters package data into the computer to generate shipping labelsTransfers LTL and UPS packages to the appropriate staging locationsPalletizes skids and loads product onto trucksConserves resources by using equipment and supplies to complete tasks without wasteUses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to managerOperates a manual and/or motorized pallet jackPicks non-conveyable items and locates to appropriate staging areaMay perform regular audits on outgoing customer shipments to ensure orders are accurate and complete* This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Exposure to loud noise.
