Customer Relationship Specialist

Summary

Cleanpower is seeking a Client Relationship Specialist to strengthen customer relationships and grow our special services and window cleaning business. This field-based role conducts quality audits, partners with Operations to address service needs, identifies opportunities within existing accounts, and develops new business across an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with new and existing customers to build relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and increase special services sales.
• Performs field QA audits to evaluate service level, provide feedback to Operations, and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Identifies and nurtures relationships with potential customers to drive revenue.
• Builds a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting within assigned geographic territory.
• Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the organization and services offered across all business lines to offer solutions that meet customers’ needs.
• Utilizes proven sales techniques to initiate contact, assess customer needs, and present relevant solutions that generate revenue.
• Prepares and presents proposed solutions, including pricing and drives the sales process through close, including signed work order or contract.
• Partners with Operations to ensure timely completion of sold services.
• Safeguards sensitive customer, employee, and company information, demonstrating integrity and respect for confidentiality.

Additional Responsibilities

• Resolves problems and communicates solutions or requested information to the customer.
• Partners with Sales by referring reoccurring monthly revenue leads.
• Represents the company in local industry associations (e.G., BOMA, IFMA) to build brand presence and strengthen market relationships.
• Networks with property managers, facility leaders, and decision-makers proactively to generate future business opportunities and pipeline growth.

Experience

• 3 - 5 years of experience, janitorial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated sales experience including prospecting, needs assessment, proposals and presentations that achieve sales targets.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and business systems as required.
• Ability to use a customer relationship application or database to record activities, observations, QA audits, and customer information.
• Communicates clearly and respectfully, listens to understand, shares relevant information, and works effectively with team members, customers, and internal partners.
• Takes ownership of assigned work, follows through on commitments, meets expectations for quality, safety, service, and timeliness, and asks for help when needed.
• Identifies routine issues, uses available information to solve problems, applies good judgment, and escalates issues appropriately.
• Responds positively to changing priorities, learns new tools and processes, applies feedback, and looks for practical ways to improve individual work.
• Ability to travel to local and regional customer sites.

• Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
• Intermittent standing, walking, bending, or reaching as tasks require.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. on an occasional basis (files, laptops, office supplies).
• Regular use of hands for keyboarding, writing, and handling office materials.

Compensation & Hours

• Base salary plus commission
• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, Meetings and client events may occasionally occur outside these hours.
• Heavy travel within the state of Wisconsin. Frequent driving between current client accounts, prospective client locations, meetings and walkthroughs will occur throughout a typical workday, in a personal vehicle. You will receive a monthly car allowance and fuel card for business purposes.
