And as the nation’s largest contract grinding company, the AWR family is committed to continued growth with Texas and our customers across the United States, using safe, environmentally sound construction and manufacturing methods; exceeding customer expectations by delivering on time, with friendliness and dependability.About the PositionJob BriefThe Maintenance Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records while supporting daily warehouse operations through receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role also supports maintenance operations by coordinating parts purchasing, delivery, and restocking efforts.This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will perform duties safely and professionally while supporting production needs and maintaining a clean, efficient warehouse environment.Reporting RelationshipReports to: Regional Maintenance SupervisorDirect Reports: NoneKey ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementVerify and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventoryMonitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepanciesConduct regular inventory counts and auditsEnsure materials are properly labeled, stored, and trackedWarehouse OperationsReceive, unload, and store incoming inventory itemsPick, pack, and ship orders to customers and internal locationsInspect products for defects or damage and report issues to managementMaintain organized warehouse layout to support efficient workflowOperate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacksParts Coordination & PurchasingCreate purchase orders (POs) for stocked and non-stocked maintenance partsUtilize maintenance software to receive, process, and close POs accuratelyCoordinate with the Regional Maintenance Supervisor on parts needs and restocking prioritiesMonitor stock levels and communicate when inventory needs replenishment and once levels are restoredPick up parts from vendors and deliver to job sites or shop locations as requiredEnsure timely delivery of parts to minimize equipment downtimeMaintain accurate documentation of purchases, deliveries, and inventory updatesSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practicesWear required PPE at all times (safety toe footwear, vest, hard hat, gloves)Report all accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediatelyMaintain housekeeping standards throughout warehouse areasCommunication & CoordinationMaintain consistent communication with the Regional Maintenance Supervisor regarding inventory levels, parts availability, and order statusWork closely with operations and maintenance teams to support equipment readinessCarry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable lawsPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications & Physical Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of warehouse or inventory-related experienceStrong attention to detail with ability to read and interpret inventory recordsBasic computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory tracking systemsAbility to operate forklifts and warehouse equipmentValid driver’s license with clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, sit, kneel for extended periods and walk as neededBenefitsWe offer highly competitive salaries and premium benefits as we continue to strive to create a rewarding work environment.
