Location: Hybrid (3 days remote), Toronto, Canada

Rate: CAD 45 to 55 per hour

Role Summary

We are hiring for this role where the selected candidate will work on a software platform focused on modern web development and cross-platform experiences. The role involves building reliable solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node.js , and NPM while collaborating closely with engineering, QA, and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality, secure, and stable software
• Build and maintain web-based solutions that support cross-platform development and experiences
• Participate in software design and code reviews
• Develop task estimates, evaluate risks, and identify dependencies to support project planning
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, QA professionals, and designers across Toronto and other engineering locations.
• Contribute to discussions around software architecture and design
• Support the development of solutions that deliver a high-quality customer experience
• Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to achieve shared technical and product goals

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on professional experience developing production software with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor , or GitHub Copilot as part of a daily development workflow
• Professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for client-side web development
• Hands-on experience with React and Redux frameworks
• Experience working with Node.js and NPM
• Experience with web-based technologies, concepts, and development constructs
• Strong interest in software architecture and design
• Experience with Git and GitHub for source control
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and cross-functional teams
• Commitment to continuous technical and professional development
• Commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience developing web applications using modular and componentized approaches
• Experience working with Agile methodology
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Familiarity with test automation tools and strategies
