Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. The role involves performing scheduled maintenance services and repairs on production equipment and machines, preparing and setting up machinery for scheduled production runs, and utilizing sound mechanical skills. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production systems and equipment.
Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services and repairs of production equipment and machines.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repair, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Document tasks performed as required on work orders, PMs, work logs, or otherwise.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance mechanics to make repairs and learn job-specific tasks.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• At least 6 months of experience working in a production environment, auto body shop, or other type of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical school training preferred but not required.
• Welding experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Marsh, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.70 - $30.00/hr.
