Principal Associate, Strategic Investments Group – Co‑Lending and Credit Insurance Partnerships SIG’s Co‑Lending and Credit Insurance Desk is a small and highly effective team that provides alternative distribution solutions to complement our front‑end originations and capital markets teams seeking to compete in the lending market with larger hold sizes. The team manages established and new relationships with asset managers and insurance companies, and continues to experience significant growth in deal and partnership activity. Summary This role will help operate and scale both our existing and newer Co‑Lending and Credit Insurance partnerships. You will report to the Head of the Co‑Lending and Credit Insurance Desk and work closely with senior originators, underwriting teams, insurers, insurance brokers, and functional partners across our Commercial Bank. Responsibilities Facilitate post‑close portfolio activity requiring transaction or credit updates, incremental commitments, votes or approvals from partners. Coordinate distribution or referral of balance sheet risk on corporate and commercial real estate loans for credit insurance or for syndication and assignment to 3rd‑party lending partners. Coordinate with workout teams to understand restructuring situations and process insurance claims that may arise. Support and drive projects to automate or improve the technology and reporting infrastructure of our products and partnerships. Coordinate insurance claims processes and partner closing processes. Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders for strategy updates and business updates. Maintain client‑first focus and navigate cross‑functional teams to keep transaction‑level momentum. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience. At least 2 years of experience in corporate banking or insurance. Preferred Qualifications Foundational understanding of commercial lending debt markets or credit insurance markets. Experience managing or supporting capital markets, securitization, syndication, or insurance market executions across multiple lenders, investors, and insurers. Experience in risk analysis or portfolio management at banks, insurers, or export agencies. Proficiency in data and reporting infrastructure, including SQL or Python for queries and scripting. Familiarity with Snowflake or similar BI tools such as Amazon QuickSight for automated reporting and dashboards.
