Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical Telemetry

Role Overview

As a key member of the nursing support staff, you will assist with patient admissions, orienting new patients to the unit and hospital routines, and supporting the nursing care plan by performing delegated tasks. Your responsibilities include maintaining a safe and clean patient environment, managing supplies, and actively participating in cost containment and performance improvement initiatives.

Education and Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential mandatory
• Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry

Experience and Skills

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new skills quickly
• Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations

Physical and Work Environment

• Ability to work variable shifts with physical demands including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning
