  Job Summary

  The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team of Contract Surety Producers while driving new business growth and expanding the company's client base. This role focuses on sales leadership, team development, performance management, recruiting, and collaboration with internal departments to achieve revenue objectives and build a high-performing sales organization.

  Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 8-10 remote Contract Surety Producers.

  • Coach, mentor, and train sales professionals on product knowledge, competitive positioning, and sales techniques.

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop sales personnel.

  • Monitor sales performance against forecasts and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Drive new business development and consistently achieve revenue goals.

  • Expand and strengthen the direct client base.

  • Manage customer onboarding and ensure a positive customer experience.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Underwriting, Customer Support, and other internal teams to maximize sales effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.

  • Conduct field sales calls and travel as required throughout the assigned region.

  • Track sales activity, pipeline performance, and team productivity.

  • Promote accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.

  Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience.

  • Supervisory experience managing direct B2B field sales teams.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.

  • Experience in sales training and professional selling techniques.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales performance goals.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development skills.

  • Understanding of business financial statements; accounting background is a plus.

  • Insurance sales experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel for field sales calls.

  Surety Bonds experience is must.
