About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years ICU experience required. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required. Must-Have: - Experience in a 20+ bed ICU is required. - Must pass an EKG exam. - Experience in pressor support, ETT, trachs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, and sterile technique required. Description: Position/Specialty: MICU. Ratios: 1:2. Prefer 1.5 years MICU experience. If less than 2 years of experience, Level I experience is required. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirements: every other weekend. Will float within service line and to MS areas within the ICU service line as needed. Will need to be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage. Preferred skills include CRRT experience, Swanz, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, proning, and MTP- Level 1 rapid transfuser. Daily census in the unit is approximately 41 adults. Special equipment includes MTP-Level 1 rapid infuser. Various patient diagnoses are seen in the medical ICU. Clinical competencies include arterial line management, managing ventilated patients, and performing bedside trach placements. Consent to the possibility of floating within the service line. All shifts are 4 days a week, working 12-hour nights. RTO restrictions apply; no more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract.
