Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Project ManagerThe Weitz Company is seeking a Project Manager for our Mission Critical Construction team to be located on a hyperscale data center project in San Marcos, TX.The Project Manager is responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards, while maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on assigned projects. This individual will often oversee multiple medium-sized projects, a single large-sized project, or an assigned scope on a single, large, complex project. The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate leadership by following company standards and policies, achieving shared goals, developing others and building high morale and commitment.What You'll Do:Construct the project in accordance with plans, schedule, specifications and standardsLead subcontractors and field employees on a jobsiteLead project safety in accordance with the Company's Safety PolicyWork alongside the Project Manager(s) to manage the project schedule, budget and staffDevelop and maintain the project schedule utilizing scheduling software; prepare two-week look ahead schedulesAssist with the buyout and selection of major subcontractorsRecommend ways to reduce cost, improve schedule dates, decrease project scope and improve the quality of the projectEnsure project documents are accurate, timely and in compliance (i.e. closeout documents, submittals, daily logs, etc.)Review and enforce all contract terms and obligationsAdhere to all company policies, standards, and proceduresOther duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of extensive field and project construction management experienceExperience in a fast-paced environmentProven history of leading others successfully and to teach, develop and mentor others.Data center experience is strongly preferred.Skills: Excellent leadership skills with a desire to mentor, coach, and develop a teamAbility to compare and analyze various systems and related cost impactsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to balance and prioritize projects with impending deadlinesDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong negotiation skillsBusiness acumen and relationship building skillsTechnology: Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Apple products (iPhone & iPad) and have the ability to learn specific software.Solid systems experience with Procore, JDE, and Asta is preferred.Training will be provided on company standards.What We Offer:Competitive PayRewarding Bonus ProgramComprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offeringsEmployer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability ProgramsEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off Provisions401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementFully Paid Parental LeaveVoluntary Products Including: Critical Illness Insurance and Accident InsuranceCorporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and RewardsVisa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.The Company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
