HR Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.The HR Generalist will lead the People functions at the territory level including onboarding, compliance, policy and procedures, administrative duties, and culture ambassador.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.Partners with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.Daily reviewing people files and records to ensure that documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards.Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable.Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.HRIS (Nitro) processing errors: Hire, Change Job, Term.Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law.Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacyStrong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaborationStrong ability to manage change and guide others through itStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Apple iWork SuiteProficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applicationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate or Bachelor Degree preferred3 - 5 Year experience preferredPrior related HR experience preferredREQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: SHRM CP/SCP PreferredSALARY AND BENEFITS:Competitive salaryFull medical, dental, life, and disability insurance plans that can be tailored to you and your family’s specific needsSubsidized child care and fertility benefitsPaid parental leaveFree health screenings & rewards for participation in wellness programsA comprehensive 401(k) retirement savings program, matched by PowerAmple paid vacation and holidaysAn employee-relief fundYear-round events and activities, including an all expenses-paid music festival in Cancun, Mexico for you and a significant otherYear-round volunteer opportunitiesPersonal development - We provide books, courses and opportunity to attend leadership conferencesArtfully designed office spaces & relocation opportunitiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:This position works in an office environment and not a remote positionModerate travel may be requiredPower Home Remodeling Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to hiring a diverse and talented workforce.
