Job Location - Menomonie, WI

Starting Date - ASAP

Employment Term - Direct Hire

Employment Type - Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) - 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 am-3:30 pm

Starting Pay - $45,000-$55,000/year

Benefits - Comprehensive benefits package available upon hire.

Required Education - High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Required Experience - Previous manufacturing experience required. Experience as a Lead, Senior Operator, Trainer, or Team Lead preferred.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Shift Lead to provide day-to-day leadership and support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a working lead position that serves as the primary resource for production employees during the shift. The Shift Lead will coordinate workflow, assist with training, troubleshoot production issues, and work closely with the Shift Supervisor to ensure daily production, quality, and safety goals are achieved. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example while working alongside the production team.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assist with production scheduling and priorities.
• Support team members with questions, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Ensure workstations are properly staffed and supplied throughout the shift.
• Monitor production flow and communicate issues, delays, or concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
• Assist with machine setups, product changeovers, and production readiness.
• Verify product quality and ensure established production standards are met.
• Train, coach, and mentor new and existing production employees.
• Promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Complete production documentation and assist with shift handoffs.
• Collaborate with production leadership and other departments to achieve daily goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Prior experience in a lead, senior operator, trainer, or similar production leadership role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make sound decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
