Vice President, Applied AI & Architecture - US Commercial

Pfizer seeks a Vice President of Applied AI & Architecture to establish technical vision and strategy for AI adoption across the Commercial organization. This senior leadership role combines applied AI expertise with enterprise architecture to guide transformation initiatives, reduce technical debt, and ensure scalable, integrated AI solutions aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Define applied AI strategy supporting commercial priorities and translate business ambitions into technical roadmaps
- Own target AI architecture establishing patterns for scalable, secure, and reusable solutions across the organization
- Provide technical direction for AI evolution workstreams connecting capabilities with commercial data and enterprise platforms
- Shape AI architecture for internal process transformation and commercial strategy initiatives
- Create decision frameworks and standards for AI use cases, technologies, vendors, and architectural approaches
Requirements
- Deep expertise in modern AI including generative AI, machine learning, and agentic systems
- Proven enterprise architecture experience connecting AI, data, platforms, and business workflows
- Track record translating business transformation priorities into technical strategies and roadmaps
- Executive influence and ability to establish technical direction across organizational boundaries
- Strategic judgment distinguishing where AI creates value versus traditional solutions
- Hands-on technical credibility with architects and engineers despite not being primary delivery executive
