Senior Operating Room Assistant

Description Senior Operating Room Assistant – Providence Portland Medical Center. 0.01 FTE, full‑time day position with variable days and evening 8, 10, 12 hr shifts, no more than 40 hrs per week. Responsibilities Retrieve and assemble all necessary supplies and equipment for each surgery procedure. Monitor instrument and supply levels in the sterile supply areas. Coordinate location of supplies in the sterile supply area and collaborate with materials management to address shortages. Assist with cleaning and preparing operating rooms and safely transporting patients. Retrieve instrument sets, decontaminate and process equipment and instruments. Assist with opening supplies before surgery. Qualifications Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. Minimum 2 years of experience in the operating room.
