Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Administration in Wilmington, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to support a secure environment. You will maintain a professional presence, help to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, access points, and restricted areas, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and documenting security-related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least six months of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
