Family Support and Stabilization Clinician

Position Family Support and Stabilization Clinician Reports to Program Director Overview Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR) will work with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide direct services and support to Parents/Guardians and their children. Family Stabilization & Support services ensure that all the family’s goals are met over the contract period in safe and nurturing home environments. CSR provides immediate concrete services, which include support in parenting, medical, mental health and community access supports; educational/vocational career assistance, as well as supports with legal issues: domestic violence, probation obligations, court ordered CRA issues and follow-through. Family home visits will be conducted weekly (1-2 times) under contract referral. Families are provided immediate assessments, advocacy and collaborative updates by CSR staff with DCF collaterals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities In person home visits with the referred family to help achieve goals outlined in DCF service request Credible system: written narratives of home visits weekly over the period of contract, written documentation of calls/contacts by telephone (daily/weekly) Produce monthly report every 30 days Virtual Gateway system: completion and implementation of treatment plans (each 3-month period) with appropriate activities against the goals identified by DCF, complete progress review (each 3 month period) Maintain neat and orderly files Major Measurable Goals Weekly home visits executed flexibly for the family, sometimes after 5pm, connecting with each parent where they are Weekly collaboration with collaterals (DCF, service providers, etc.) Response to emergencies (child crises, hospitalizations, emergency meetings, school meetings, etc.) when necessary DCF case conference participation to review progress of goals Weekly supervision with Program Director Professional representation at all times Appropriate attitude and team spirit in the office and in the community Appropriate boundaries in relationships external to CSR (parents, children, DCF providers) Work ethic (maintain work hours expected, home visits, appropriate lunch hours) Position Challenges Time management (flexing) Good operating vehicle (car) Teamwork Strong skills in communication (verbal/written) Timely paperwork Necessary availability after 5pm and before 8am Confidentiality and mandated reporter status Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related Human Services field required; Master’s level preferred Bilingual capacity preferred Valid driver’s license and appropriately insured vehicle Clearance of background checks as required by state and federal law At least 1-year experience providing case management and/or counseling services to children, adolescents and families Benefits Paid sick, vacation, personal leave Health, vision and dental insurance 401K plan Access to free, on-line CEU approved educational courses Employee discounts program providing discounts on thousands of products and services Work with a professional, dedicated and compassionate team of people Help us continue the important work of changing and saving lives #J-18808-Ljbffr Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc.
