Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable & T&E

Halozyme seeks a Senior Accountant to manage accounts payable, travel and expense operations, and procure-to-pay processes. The role involves invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, accrual accounting, and process improvement initiatives within a SOX-compliant environment.
Responsibilities
- Process, review, and analyze accounts payable transactions, invoices, and vendor accruals
- Administer corporate travel and expense card program with cardholder support and compliance monitoring
- Execute payment processing through NetSuite and bank interfaces for domestic and foreign vendors
- Perform vendor verification, tax documentation management, and W-9/1099 annual reporting
- Calculate accruals, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum five years accounts payable, procure-to-pay, or general ledger accounting experience
- SOX-controlled environment and public company accounting background
- Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing industry experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems, NetSuite, expense management tools, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of domestic and international payment methods including ACH, wire, and foreign currency
- Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 base per year
