Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with a minimum of 2 years CVOR experience and prior travel assignment history for a Level 1 trauma hospital's OR Float Pool.

Details

Work in the OR Float Pool within a 1000+ bed hospital featuring a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms

Level 1 trauma facility

Patient population includes complex CABG, valve, and repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases

Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases as Children's Hospital OR is a separate unit

12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week

Days of the week will vary based on unit needs; no block schedule available

Call required for all travelers in cardiac surgery, with three layers of call rotating every 6 weeks in addition to three 12-hour shifts

May float between ORs but not between facility locations

Requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required

Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience required

Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries

Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

Provide scrub and circulating support for complex cardiac surgical procedures

26-week assignment length only; shorter durations will not be considered

Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays during the assignment

Excessive time off requests cannot be accommodated

Local candidates accepted at a lower rate

Radius rule of 75 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
