Job Details Job ID: 5699117 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 07, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: To Be Determined Position Type: Full‑Time Salary: $72,000 Per Year (starting salary $72,000+ commensurate with experience) Job Description The Vice Principal reports directly to the Principal and, consistent with the duties set forth below, is primarily responsible for the overall implementation of campus‑level operations, facilities management, and student discipline. Duties Campus Operations: Reports to the Principal regarding the needs of the school with respect to personnel, equipment, supplies and curriculum. Implement and ensure compliance with the policies and directives of the Board, Superintendent, Executive Director of School Leadership, Chief Academic Officer (CAO), and Principal. Oversee, supervise, and certify the preparation, accuracy, and maintenance of a wide variety of records and reports. Oversee the orientation of all new faculty members, ensuring that these new members thoroughly review district policies and procedures, including the Student Code of Conduct, faculty handbook, and relevant campus details. Observe employee performance, record observations, and communicate observation information to staff and the Principal. Motivate faculty personnel, foster team‑building and collegiality among faculty members, and encourage professional development. Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior. Proactively promote and monitor parent communication and involvement. Oversee students’ academic and behavioral program, including disciplinary decisions, scheduling and class decisions, educational program, and assessment and accountability. Create, update, maintain and timely distribute campus procedure manual which clearly defines all campus related policies and procedures including drop‑off and pick‑up, emergency procedures, duty stations, and lunchroom procedures. Coordinate with appropriate staff to ensure a clean, safe and secure campus. Curriculum and Instruction: In conjunction with the Principal, supervise the implementation of district curriculum and standards at the campus level. Conduct regular classroom walk‑through assessments, and communicate feedback to the Principal, CAO or his/her designee. Monitor and assume responsibility for staff adherence to district philosophies and directives regarding instructional best practices. Coordinate all extracurricular activities to ensure compliance with district policies. Collaborate with appropriate central administration resources to ensure students are achieving at their highest potential. Hold teachers accountable for meeting high standards for student academic and behavioral performance. Classroom Management: Monitor and assume responsibility for faculty implementation of district expectations for effective classroom management and student discipline practices. In collaboration with the Principal, supervise student suspensions and expulsions. Actively participate in educating students in the development of appropriate social and behavioral skills. Foster consistency in academic and behavioral expectations in and out of class. Skills / Qualifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of constituents or employees of the organization. Ability and/or willingness to learn to use and understand Microsoft Office for spreadsheets, letters, and other written communications. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Bilingual in Spanish While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
