Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing client billing, collections, payment processing, and account reconciliation for Alan Horticulture and affiliated companies. This position plays a critical role in maintaining healthy cash flow while delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. This role reports directly to the Finance Director and works closely with branch management, account managers, and operations teams. Responsibilities Manage daily accounts receivable operations and collections efforts Process invoices and client payments accurately and timely Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances Maintain strong communication with clients regarding billing questions and payment status Coordinate with Account Managers and Branch Managers to resolve billing disputes quickly Reconcile customer accounts and assist with monthly close processes Ensure Aspire tickets are properly closed and billed Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and Aspire Support collection goals and company cash flow objectives Provide professional, solution-oriented customer service during all client interactions Assist Finance Director with reporting, audits, and AR process improvements Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in collections and accounts receivable Strong customer service and communication skills Experience with Aspire preferred Experience with QuickBooks preferred Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and confidently Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills Experience working in service-based or construction-related industries is a plus What We’re Looking For A team player with a positive attitude Someone who takes ownership and accountability seriously A professional who can balance firm collections practices with excellent client relationships A motivated individual who wants to grow with a rapidly expanding company Why Alan Horticulture?
