HOUSEKEEPER (RESIDENTIAL)Location: Albany, NYProgram: Residential Services –Copson HouseType: Full-time (Non-exempt)Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.40 per hourSchedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-4pm w/flexibility as neededNotes: Local travel; a NYS Driver's License and personal vehicle is requiredJob Ref. #: 0312Our MissionSt. Catherine's Center for Children provides a comprehensive range of human services designed to offer hope, foster growth, and improve the lives of the children, families and adults we serve.Our VisionSt. Catherine's willingness to embrace change and develop new services is, and will remain, our guiding philosophy as we support the human service needs of children, families, and adults throughout the region.Position OverviewTo participate as a member of the Cleaning Team in creating and maintaining a therapeutic, organized and clean environment for the children and staff assigned to the Residential Program group home.Position Requirements & SpecificationsHigh School diploma/ GED Equivalent, required.Prior experience in general housekeeping duties, required.A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for children is essential.A Clean and Valid New York State Driver's License (actively licensed at least one year) - is required*Flexibility to work after regular business hours to complete all assigned job tasks, required.Previous experience working in a human services agency, is a plus!Excellent organization, planning and time management skills; Ability to effectively manage (in a timely manner) the varied tasks of the position.Strong interpersonal skills and exhibit empathy for those in need.Capable of exercising ethical, independent judgment and discretion, and handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality.Self-motivated and engaged, with a strong attention to detail.Qualities of positivity, patience and adaptability to day-to-day changes with client needs and functioning.Must be willing and able to work in close proximity with the clients we serve.Ability to complete pre-employment background check requirements, including CBC fingerprinting.* Staff in driving positions must be able to meet the agency's minimum requirements of our insurance policy for authorized drivers including, but not limited to, the minimum age of 21 at time of hire; with the ability to maintain insurability throughout employment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:Adheres to the work plan provided by the Program Manager, which may include providing housekeeping services at other Residential program locations.Follows the assigned duties as listed in the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, including the following:Wash, dry and fold laundry, return items to respective storage places and clean laundry areas as needed.Sweep and mop floors including offices and medication rooms.Vacuum carpets, rugs and stairs.Clean bathrooms and facilities, including medication rooms, and sanitize as needed.Request supplies as needed and keep equipment in safe working condition.Return trashcans to storage area.Follow regulations used to control infectious diseases.Check storage areas and organize them as needed.At end of shift ensure that all windows and doors are securely locked.Completes seasonal or periodic tasks as assigned by the Program Manager, including:Cleans windows and windowsillsCleans and organizes the storage roomCleans curtains and seat coversAs an employee of St. Catherine's adheres to the agency's philosophy and policiesAdheres to communicable disease and infection control procedures.Additional position-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager.What We Offer You**Competitive Pay with an Excellent Benefits PackageHealth Insurance options: Medical, Dental and Vision$600 Well-being Reimbursement BenefitGenerous Combined Leave Time (CLT) and Paid Holidays!We are a 501(c) (3) agency, which is a qualifying employer for eligible staff under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ProgramPension Plan with Generous Agency Contribution403b Retirement Savings PlanLife Insurance – Automatic Benefit at no cost to employeePaid Training, including TCI and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification & Update courses, if role appropriateTuition Reimbursement & Travel/ Mileage ReimbursementProfessional Development & Career Growth OpportunitiesThe Comfort of a Business Casual EnvironmentOur Commitment to Embrace & Foster Mindfulness, Relevance, Respect and Solidarity.** To qualify, certain conditions may applyAbout UsSt. Catherine's Center for Children is a non-profit organization located in the Greater Capital Region of New York.
