Learn more about why you want to be here!/ph3Purpose Of The Job/h3pThe purpose of this job is to support the Service Center of Excellence underwriting staff by processing insurance policy submissions as they are received from policy holders. This position exists to alleviate the administrative responsibilities of the underwriting staff and to ensure that submissions are moving forward in a timely manner./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities/h3pEnters underwriting data into web-based system./pulliEnters submission information in companys proprietary web-based system to enable underwriter to quote business./liliFollows up with agents to obtain missing submission information using web-based system./liliRequests renewal information from agents and help prepare renewal for underwriter to quote./li/ulpProvides administrative and technical support to Underwriting staff and Supervisors./pulliHandles agent/insured phone calls, faxes, and mail./liliOrders loss runs requested by agents and insureds and sends via fax, email, or mail./liliPrepares and mails claims kits and marketing materials requested by agents and insureds./liliEnters statistical data on a daily basis to ensure operational workflow./liliResponds to general inquiries concerning department activities in accordance with established policies and procedures./li/ulh3Supervisory Responsibilities/h3pThis role does not have supervisory responsibilities./ph3Education And Experience/h3pHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree a plus. Minimum 1 3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./ph3Certificates, Licenses, Registrations/h3pNone required./ph3Knowledge And Skills/h3pFamiliarity with administrative support practices desirable. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Data entry skills and the ability to learn enterprise and department specific applications. Basic Word and Excel knowledge.
