Registered Nurse, RN (Full-time, Days) - OR Circulator

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery Work Location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, TX 75013 Work Hours: Full Time – 40 Hours/week; Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:00pm with on‑call requirements. Surgery Highlights Fast‑paced, high‑volume department The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs. The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations. Qualifications Associate degree in Nursing required, or Nursing Diploma. BSN preferred. At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (required). Preferred: 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in the operating room. Preferred: CNOR certification. RN license required at hire. BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required at hire. Responsibilities Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Perform OR RN surgery circulator duties and skills. Assess patient. Plan patient care. Intervene as appropriate. Evaluate effectiveness of interventions. Incorporate age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care. Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information. Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
