About the Role
Sovereign Mining is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representative to own and grow our presence across Texas. You’ll be on the front lines prospecting new clients, nurturing existing accounts, and closing deals in one of the most active mining markets in the country.
This is a ground-level opportunity with real upside. You’ll be supported by a tight-knit team and work closely with leadership to make sure you have what you need to succeed. Sovereign Mining is an Austin, Texas-based mining services provider delivering turnkey solutions and creative, cost-efficient services to clients across the mining industry. What You’ll Do
• Prospect, qualify, and develop new client relationships across Texas.
• Manage and grow an existing account base, identifying upsell and expansion opportunities.
• Conduct site visits, attend industry events, and represent Sovereign Mining in the field.
• Respond to RFPs and RFQs and support proposal development.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts. From initial outreach through contract and beyond.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth project handoffs and client satisfaction.
• Track activity, pipeline, and client interactions to keep leadership informed and deals moving.
• Surface market intelligence, what clients need, what competitors are doing, where opportunities exist.
Who You Are
• A self-starter who thrives in the field and doesn’t need to be micromanaged to stay productive.
• Comfortable building relationships from scratch and maintaining them over long sales cycles.
• Someone who genuinely enjoys the mining industry and understands how it works on the ground.
• Organized and consistent, you follow up, follow through, and keep your pipeline tight.
• A strong communicator who can work across all levels, from site supervisors to procurement leads.
Qualifications
Required
• 2–5 years of experience in field sales, business development, or account management.
• Experience working in or alongside the mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a territory independently and travel regularly throughout Texas.
• Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
• Existing relationships with mining operators, contractors, or procurement teams in Texas.
• Familiarity with mining operations: overburden removal, reclamation, crushing, screening, and site infrastructure.
• Experience with CRM tools for pipeline management and reporting.
The Details
• Location: Texas-based, field role (office + regular travel throughout the state)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends depending on client needs
• Travel: Regular in-state travel required; some out-of-state travel possible
