Finance Specialist

Boutique law firm seeks full-time Finance Specialist to work in finance department. Finance Specialist will work closely with head of billing and attorneys. The role involves overseeing the control, monitoring, and collection of accounts receivables, and requires close collaboration with attorneys and clients. This is an in-office position.


Responsibilities include:

• Work with attorneys and staff to create, distribute, edit, post, and submit bills using a variety of delivery methods.
• Reviewing monthly attorney time entries.
• Prepare reports on billing and collections data.
• Ensure effective monitoring and management of outstanding accounts receivable, unapplied funds, and collection efforts.
• Assist partners and clients with any inquiries or concerns regarding unpaid or underpaid invoices.
• Process payments for retainers, invoices, etc., and accurately apply fees and costs in TABS.
• Work with billing team to resolve any inquiries or issues regarding the billing and collections process.
• Review credit card expenses and assign them to the correct general ledger accounts.
• Performing accounts payable duties.

• Bachelor's degree in either accounting or finance.
• Superior organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, with a particular focus on Outlook and Excel
• Experience with TABS3 is a plus.
