Job Title: Engagement Manager Location: New York, NY (On-site) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Rate/Salary: Not disclosed Job Description: The Engagement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all IT operational aspects of a new airport terminal deployment. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage complex technology ecosystems while maintaining strict compliance with federal aviation and cybersecurity regulations. As an Engagement Manager , you will establish governance frameworks, drive operational readiness, and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, ERP applications, and IoT-enabled airport systems. You will work closely with airport authorities, regulatory bodies, and a diverse vendor ecosystem to ensure successful delivery and long-term sustainability of critical systems. The Engagement Manager will also play a key role in risk management, audit readiness, and compliance assurance. This includes aligning IT operations with aviation standards, implementing cybersecurity best practices, and ensuring business continuity for passenger-facing and operational systems. In this role, the Engagement Manager will lead stakeholder communication, manage vendor performance, and ensure service-level accountability across multiple technology providers. You will guide teams through complex implementation challenges while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, the Engagement Manager will be pivotal to the successful launch and stabilization of airport terminal IT operations, directly impacting safety, efficiency, and passenger experience. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end IT operations for a greenfield airport terminal implementation Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks aligned with federal aviation regulations Ensure operational readiness, resilience, and scalability across infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, and IoT systems Act as the primary liaison between airport stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and technology vendors Manage complex, multi-vendor environments and ensure alignment with program objectives Define, negotiate, and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and vendor performance metrics Oversee cybersecurity strategy, risk assessments, and mitigation plans for mission-critical systems Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, and other applicable federal and industry regulations Lead audits, assessments, documentation, and compliance reporting activities Identify operational risks and implement proactive remediation strategies Drive incident management, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives Support transition from implementation to steady-state operations Provide executive-level reporting, communication, and stakeholder updates Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Experience: 10+ years of IT program or operations management experience Minimum of 5 years in airport, aviation, or government-regulated environments Proven experience managing greenfield IT implementations Hands-on exposure to infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, ERP systems, and IoT platforms Skills: Strong understanding of federal regulations, aviation standards, and compliance frameworks Exceptional vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage large-scale, multi-vendor IT operations in regulated environments Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Background: Prior experience in airport IT operations or similar regulated industries Familiarity with aviation technology ecosystems and operational systems Experience supporting mission-critical, highly secure environments Why Join Us?
