Your Responsibilities

• Executing thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
• Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues independently or in collaboration with physicians based on your credentialing
• Educating patients and their families about preventative care, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or the ability to obtain within the next 90 days
