Director of Food Services

Job Summary:

Four Seasons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a premiere facility in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Food Service Director to join our exceptional team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire food service operation, ensuring the highest quality of care and excellent customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the food service department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service to residents

• Supervise and train dietary staff, ensuring compliance with DOH, CMS, and sanitation regulations

• Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation

• Collaborate with the Nursing, physicians, Speech Therapy, and interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care coordination and resident satisfaction

• Manage food-service budgets, purchasing, inventory, staffing, and quality assurance

• Maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing electronic medical records and dietary-management software

• Ensure compliance with DOH, CMS, and sanitation regulations, and maintain ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or equivalent food-safety certification

Requirements:

• Associates, Bachelor's or Master's degree in dietetics, nutrition, food and nutrition, or a related field

• Current New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) credential

• Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential preferred or required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a nursing home, hospital, long-term care, or other healthcare setting

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutritional assessments, menu planning, and resident care plans

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and accommodate residents' medical, cultural, religious, and personal dietary needs
