Eight-plus (8+) years of hands-on, direct client-facing engineering/design of systems and client management in our primary market sectors, with an emphasis on the Airport market.The Aviation Technology Engineer serves as Introba's primary day-to-day technical representative supporting a major aviation program. This role provides the critical interface between the client, the prime consultant, airport stakeholders, and Introba's multidisciplinary technology engineering team.The successful candidate will have sufficient aviation security technology consulting and engineering experience to confidently discuss the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of airport physical, technical, and operational security systems.This position requires an understanding of airport capital project delivery, design coordination, consultant relationships, and stakeholder management. Success depends on the ability to recognize project risks, identify coordination issues before they become problems, maintain positive working relationships with the owner and prime consultant, and identify opportunities for Introba to add value through expanded services.Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities:Client and Project CoordinationMaintain regular communication with the owner, prime consultant, and project stakeholders.Represent Introba during meetings, workshops, design reviews, and coordination sessions.Develop strong working relationships while maintaining professionalism and technical credibility.Approach clients with a consultative frame of mind, listen, and provide valuable information. Manage and monitor operations for continuous improvement focused on customer satisfaction.Conduct yourself inside and outside the office in a manner that reflects the dignity and professional attitude of Introba. Foster and maintain a superior customer service attitude within the segment and across Introba.Routinely seek customer feedback. Respond to and resolve issues as they arise. Handle customer and employee requests, complaints, and problems in a timely manner in accordance with Introba policy.Technical Coordination SkillsCoordinate closely with Introba's security, ICT, and aviation technology subject matter experts to understand design direction, communicate project decisions, and ensure technical consistency across project phases.Understand project objectives sufficiently to discuss system concepts, design progression, schedule, and technical direction with clients.Facilitate timely resolution of technical questions between project stakeholders and the engineering team.Monitor design progression and ensure deliverables remain aligned with project requirements.Maintain professional registrations and/or other appropriate certifications through ongoing technical training.Aviation Security Technology Technical SkillsMaintain a working knowledge of these airport security systems and processes:Security Threat and Risk Assessments (STRA)Access Control System DesignSecurity Operations Center technologies (SOC)Airport Operations Center technologies (AOC)Emergency Operations Centers (EOC)Video Management and Surveillance technologiesPerimeter/Building security technologiesFence, gate, and barrier security systemsPassenger & Baggage Screening TechnologiesAdditional Understanding of Systems:Unmanned aerial vehiclesBiometric/Facial Recognition SystemsFiber Optic InfrastructureWireless CommunicationsVoice CommunicationsDetailed engineering expertise in every system is not required; however, the ability to discuss system purpose, interfaces, and typical design considerations is essential.Project DeliveryBe able to participate throughout planning, design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and turnover as needed.Identify schedule, scope, and coordination risks.Facilitate communication between design disciplines.Monitor design progression from planning through construction and coordinate resolution of technical and stakeholder issues affecting project delivery.Support issue resolution throughout project delivery.Relationship ManagementDevelop trusted working relationships with owner representatives, architects, engineers, contractors, and technology vendors.Recognize emerging project needs where Introba can provide additional engineering or consulting services.Assist project leadership with proposal development, scope definition, and strategic client engagement when opportunities arise.Proactively recognize project, communication, and relationship issues before they affect project delivery or client confidence.Qualifications:8–10 years of aviation security technology engineering or consulting experience.Experience supporting airport planning, design, or construction projects.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.Experience working directly with airport operators, authorities, airlines, and government agencies.Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams delivering large capital aviation projects.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to understand technical issues and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.Familiarity with FAA, ICAO Annex 17, and DHS/TSA airport regulations.Familiarity with phased airport construction.Registration/Certification PreferencesAppropriate certification is desired for this position, but it is not a must. Relevant, valuable industry certifications include: PE, PMP, CPP, CPTED, RCDD, CTD-D, CISSP, CWNA, PSP, etc.Education RequirementsA bachelor’s degree from a 4-year, accredited university in engineering, computer science, or other technical areas is required. Master’s Degree in either a business or technical area is considered a plus.Software Proficiency RequirementsIn addition to strong personal computer skills, including proficiency in an MS Windows 10 or higher operating environment, a high level of proficiency and expertise in the following productivity tools is required and expected:MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, etc.BIM360 Docs/Construction CloudProficiency in the following tasks is desired, but not required:BluebeamRevit by AutodeskAutoCAD by AutodeskTravelThis position may include both local project-related travel and other travel such as industry conferences. This travel is typically during the week and lasts 1-3 days. Expect 1-2 trips every month on average. Travel is normally domestic; however, occasional international travel may be required.Additional InformationIntroba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $141,000 - $186,000 annually for this position and local market.
