Job Title: Med Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: 1 year of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience, acute care experience Description: Department: Med Tele RN Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS preferred # of Beds: 24 inpatient, with the ability to accommodate 10 observation/day surgeries Nurse-Patient Ratios: 5:1 for day shift, 6:1 at 11 PM LPNs work until 11 PM, team nursing with LPNs: 2:7 ratios Common Diagnoses: NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, day surgical: ortho (hips and knees), cholecystectomy, appendectomy, TURP-CBI Limited pediatric population (3/year), only assigned to travelers with prior experience or no other options Experience/Knowledge Required: Must have knowledge of TURP-CBI Must be comfortable with IV starts, limited resources onsite Charge Nurse with assignment; travelers may be placed as relief charge Nurse Aids available on the unit Clientist or intensivist available until 6 PM daily, telemedicine used afterward Respiratory therapy staff available 24/7 Basic telemetry experience required, monitor strips interpreted in ICU daily Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 0700-1900 and 1900-0700 Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend rotation, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays Call or Standby Requirements: Potential for call/standby assignments Floating Requirements: Must be able to float to like units and patients Scrub Color/Dress Code: Solid professional attire required All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks Charting System: Other computerized system not listed BSN Required: No Trauma Level: 4 Care Setting: Acute Division: Nursing Shift Notes: 7 AM - 7 PM
