Job Opportunities at Texas State University Assistant or Associate Professor, Health Administration Position Title: Assistant or Associate Professor, Health Administration Job Location: San Marcos Department: School of Health Administration Position Description The College of Health Professions, School of Health Administration (SOHA), Texas State University (TXST), invites applications for one tenure-track position at the assistant or associate rank. This is a full-time, in-person, nine-month appointment to begin Spring 2027 at the San Marcos campus. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates are expected to actively pursue and maintain an externally funded research program. This position is the second of two new FTEs for a tenure-track faculty member with teaching and research interest in health information technology/health information management. This position is subject to the availability of funds. Required Qualifications for all ranks: An earned doctorate and masters. One degree must be in healthcare administration or closely related field. One degree must be from CAHME, AACSB or CePH accredited program. Required qualifications for rank of Assistant Professor, in addition to those above: Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills. Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning consistent with the program vision, mission, and goals. Established research agenda. Required qualifications for rank of Associate Professor, in addition to those above: Minimum five years teaching experience. Demonstrated teaching excellence and service leadership accomplishments. Preferred Qualifications for all ranks: Board certification or board certification eligible and plan to seek certification in professional organizations such as ACHE, HFMA, ACHCA, ACMPE, AHIMA, or other relevant groups; industry experience in healthcare. Willingness to teach on campus given in-person requirements; prior record of funded external grant activity and peer-reviewed publications.
