Job Description
Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse - ER RN

Schedule: Day shift - 3x12's

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
- Prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as per physician orders, including performing emergency procedures like wound care and splinting.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and responses to treatments.
- Work collaboratively with the medical team, including physicians and support staff.
- Accurately document patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patients and families with information regarding diagnoses and follow-up care instructions.
- Respond to critical situations requiring immediate intervention.
- Advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and preferences.

Compliance / Notes:
- Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.
- Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care.
