Position Details Work Location: Sacramento County Job Code: JC-519446 Position #: 051-421-4552-081 Title: Senior Fiscal Analyst Classification: ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR I (SPECIALIST) Salary Range: $6,623.00 – $8,290.00 A (annual) Number of Positions: 1 Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Facility: Local Govt Programs & Services Division Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator II, the incumbent will perform complex technical and analytical duties related to California state fiscal systems, including FI$Cal, financial audits, and state accounting rules. The role requires consistent attendance, independent work, and the ability to manage multiple complex assignments concurrently. Perform and/or lead a team of analysts in complex analytical duties such as payments, fund reconciliation, and journal entry preparation. Prepare year‑end financial reports and analyze complex questions and inquiries, providing clear recommendations. Conduct process reviews to streamline and modernize program processes. Implement Agile Payment System and FI$Cal processes and tasks. Analyze bill proposals for legislation impacting the section and assist with implementation of legislative changes across apportionment programs. Provide guidance and training to backup staff, and conduct peer reviews. Track, review, analyze, and advise management as the Section legislation coordinator on legislative impacts. Advise management on resource needs and workload impacts resulting from regulatory changes and recommend legislative amendments. Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and timely implementation of changes, maintaining internal controls and statutory compliance. Communicate with stakeholders from state agencies, local governments, and other interested parties; prepare correspondence and maintain complete documentation of all communications. Special Requirements A copy of your degree, transcripts, or degree evaluation is required. Completion of the Accounting Administrator I (Specialist) Examination.
