Associate General Counsel

An established and well-capitalized commercial real estate firm is seeking an Associate General Counsel to support a broad portfolio of real estate transactions and ongoing legal matters across its platform. This role will be based in the DC metro area and offers meaningful exposure to sophisticated real estate work in a collaborative, business-minded environment. Key Responsibilities Provide legal support for a wide range of commercial real estate transactions , including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases (office, retail, industrial, mixed-use) from both landlord and tenant perspectives Support due diligence efforts related to acquisitions and developments, including title, survey, zoning, and contract review Advise internal stakeholders on real estate-related legal issues throughout the lifecycle of assets Manage and coordinate with outside counsel as needed Assist with ongoing portfolio matters and risk management initiatives Qualifications 5+ years of experience practicing commercial real estate law Strong background in real estate transactions, leasing, and acquisitions Experience gained at a respected law firm and/or in-house real estate platform Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing Practical, business-oriented approach with strong drafting and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment Why This Role Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on high-impact transactions Broad exposure across an active and diverse commercial real estate portfolio Collegial, team-oriented culture with long-term growth potential #J-18808-Ljbffr
