Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Interventional Cardiology

Interventional Cardiology Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) The Interventional Cardiology Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Position will include a hybrid of inpatient and outpatient work, consisting of half a day in the hospital and half a day in the office. Coverage will be Monday through Friday, plus one weekend per month (12 times per year) for hospital rounds with a physician. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice. Experience in a relevant patient care setting or as regulations dictate. National Provider Identifier (NPI). Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Licenses and Certifications Required NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. Advance Practice Nurse License. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
