Position: Portfolio Administrator – Investment Operations
An established financial services firm is seeking a Portfolio Administrator – Investment Operations to join its investment operations team in New York. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of an institutional investment portfolio, working closely with investment professionals, internal business partners, custodians, and external investment managers in a collaborative, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment portfolio administration, including investment account and custody account maintenance.
- Coordinate and process cash and securities transfers, ensuring timely and accurate settlement.
- Monitor cash balances, investigate exceptions, and escalate issues as needed.
- Support trade settlement, operational reporting, recordkeeping, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accurate and efficient investment operations.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in investment operations, financial operations, banking, or a related financial services role.
- Working knowledge of financial markets, fixed income products, and the investment trade lifecycle.
- Understanding of trade settlement, cash movements, and custody operations.
- Strong Excel skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Aladdin or a similar investment management platform is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree.
