Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and therapy tools designed to support our physical therapists in delivering superior care. Our current staff includes two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to creating a supportive and healing environment.

Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Facility features a modern design focused on patient comfort and effective therapy delivery. We maintain a collaborative and patient-centered workspace where the team dynamics facilitate shared knowledge and support among colleagues. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a regular schedule that allows you to maintain work-life balance while delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on best practices and evidence-based methodologies.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment protocols as necessary.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, typically managing a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and effective interventions.
• Utilize a diverse array of therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance joint mobility and reduce pain.
• Maintain a commitment to minimizing reliance on medications and surgery through innovative therapy approaches.
• Maintain clear and open communication with patients regarding their treatment process, encouraging their involvement in their rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient needs, share insights, and optimize care strategies.
• Develop and lead fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of treatment sessions and therapeutic outcomes per regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center, you will primarily work with adult patients who are dealing with a range of orthopedic issues. These may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. Our patient population typically holds private medical insurance, allowing for focused and intensive therapeutic regimens that aim for optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred).
• Current and unrestricted physical therapy license to practice in New Jersey.
• Up-to-date CPR certification.
• Clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures against the license.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, particularly related to rehabilitative practices.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and management software, such as EMR platforms like WebPT.
• Specialized training in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop impactful exercise programs.

Compensation and Benefits
