Project Manager

Painting/Coatings/Waterproofing company currently seeking a Project Manager with experience in the Painting/Coatings/Waterproofing industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for bidding, estimating, and costing of projects. Must be able to perform estimates by calculating statistical data, material price lists, labor costs, and equipment costs and applying them to the complete scope of work.General Duties and Responsibilities:Review and evaluate requests for estimatesCreate bid lists including subcontractors and suppliersConfirm bidding intentions, subcontractor capabilities, and references; perform takeoffs and pricing as neededWork with project coordination staff prior to and on bid day to confirm all bids are submitted and scopes are confirmed for accuracy and coverageSet up final project budgets to proceed with project setup and contract issuanceProvide conceptual estimates based on specifications, drawings, quantities, and other preliminary dataContact, meet with, and follow up with prospective clientsDevelop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.Attend departmental meetings as requiredPerform other related duties as neededKey Abilities:Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and other documentation associated with project estimationAbility to accurately perform upper-level math, including formulas and calculationsStrong communication skills with employees, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, owners, developers, and clientsStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerAbility to gather and analyze information effectivelyAbility to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events while meeting project demandsAdherence to safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and materialsAbility to ensure all deadlines are met on timeComputer-savvy with exceptional knowledge of standard operating programs and industry-specific softwarePlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
