Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Overview You will serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. Your role supports daily plasma collection operations, ensures donor eligibility, and maintains compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions and execute emergency SOPs, including standing orders and donor transport to medical facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, providing guidance on donor safety and eligibility. Support employee vaccination programs for HepatitisB and seasonal flu. Manage employee incidents, assess the need for occupational health evaluation, and follow EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating local community pandemic threats. Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and follow BioLife Medical Affairs guidance. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑level nursing education meeting state requirements. Licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialists. Two or more years of clinical or hospital experience.
