Job Overview

Express Pros Canton is currently hiring an Intake & Dispatch Coordinator for a local transportation services company in the Akron area.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a busy office environment. The Intake & Dispatch Coordinator helps schedule transportation trips, communicates with drivers and clients, and assists with administrative and billing-related tasks.

Schedule

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Monday through Friday
Business hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Hours may vary

Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers, brokers, and facilities
Schedule and coordinate transportation trips
Communicate trip information with drivers
Enter and update information in company databases
Review trip information for accuracy
Assist with billing and data entry tasks
Track information using Excel spreadsheets
Maintain organized electronic and paper files
Help resolve scheduling issues as they arise
Assist management with various office projects and administrative duties

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Previous office, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 skills, including:
- Outlook
- Word
- Excel
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Dependable and professional attitude

Preferred Experience

Dispatching or transportation industry experience
Experience with RoutingBox or similar software
Familiarity with Connecteam
Data entry or billing experience
