Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Days

Overview Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned. Position Details Registered Respiratory Therapist. Will consider Certified Respiratory Therapists. Full Time - 36 hours/week, Day Shift. $20,000 Bonus for RRTs. All Part- and Full-Time RTs will train on and be assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis. Responsibilities Direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders; monitor and adjust therapy as needed; communicate with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness; support nursing staff with respiratory care needs; participate in NICU rotation as assigned. Qualifications Education: Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Certifications: Holds the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER employees, PALS is required. Other: Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Experience: Preference for critical care experience.
