Construction Estimator

Job Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare estimates for conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document phases
Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Prepare bid comparisons and scope evaluations
Identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues
Develop value engineering and cost saving options
Support estimating for active healthcare facilities, including phasing and infection control requirements
Maintain estimating records and historical cost data
Collaborate with project managers, project executives, superintendents, and operations teams
Qualifications and Certifications
3 or more years of commercial construction estimating experience
3 or more years of construction experience
3 or more years of building costing experience
Healthcare construction experience preferred
Experience with quantity takeoffs and subcontractor scope comparisons
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and costs
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience with Sage, BuildingConnected, Procore, Destini, or similar platforms preferred
