What You'll Do

• Provide expert emergency care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics
• Manage all aspects of patient assessment, including IV starts, continuous monitoring, and identifying patient severity
• Support a fast-paced ED environment with high patient volumes (85-95 visits daily)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including charge nurses, phlebotomists, RTs, and hospitalists
• Follow unit protocols, ensure accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR, and maintain safety standards
• Support patient safety during hall bed assignments and admitted patient management
• Participate in orientation, including completing required competency exams and unit-specific training

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
• Minimum 2 years recent ED RN experience
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI/MOAB
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong multitasking skills, critical thinking, and excellent patient communication skills
