Bookkeeper (Temporary)

An established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its accounting team. This immediate need is expected to last approximately 8-10 weeks and may transition into a permanent opportunity based on business needs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who can step in quickly, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and contribute wherever needed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation

$24.00 - $26.26 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including three-way matching
• Manage cash applications and accounts receivable activities
• Perform monthly account reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities
• Assist with payroll-related journal entries
• Prepare and record accruals
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity
• Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned
• Support additional accounting and operational functions as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience working within an accounting or ERP system
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-player mentality with a willingness to assist across departments

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting month-end close processes
• Familiarity with accrual accounting
• Experience working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
