Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse position is located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized patient care to individuals recovering from anesthesia across the perioperative process. The PACU nurse will collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered recovery in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as RN, in good standing; current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; minimum 2 years of experience; Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Additional Information: The nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective perioperative patient care in the PACU setting. Experience with gastroenterology/endoscopy lab, orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, interventional pain management, and CNOR certification are highly desirable. This position requires skills to support patients through the recovery phases, acting as a liaison between surgical staff and patient families/support systems.
