Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Dental Receptionist / Assistant role based in Scarsdale, NY. The role includes greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and handling phone calls with professional and courteous phone etiquette. Daily responsibilities involve appointment scheduling, maintaining accurate patient records, and coordinating with dental providers to ensure smooth patient flow. The Dental Receptionist / Assistant may also support basic chairside tasks as directed, prepare treatment rooms, and assist with sterilization and organization of instruments. The role requires consistent attention to detail, clear communication, and a commitment to creating a calm and friendly environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage Receptionist Duties, including greeting patients, check-in/check-out, and maintaining the front desk area.
• Strong Appointment Scheduling skills and experience with calendar management or practice management software.
• Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and external contacts.
• Basic understanding of Dental Care support tasks or willingness to learn chairside assisting and sterilization procedures.
• Prior experience in a dental or medical office is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy with data entry, and attention to patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work on-site in Scarsdale, NY, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate with a small team.
• High school diploma or equivalent;
  additional dental assisting or office training is an advantage.
