Manager, Inventory Planning

AbbVie seeks an Inventory Planning Manager to oversee master production scheduling and inventory coordination at its North Chicago manufacturing site. The role involves managing production plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving operational efficiency while supporting supply chain and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate master production plan execution with manufacturing to meet firmed orders and delivery timelines
• Manage unplanned orders by verifying material availability and communicating delivery commitments to customers
• Lead daily schedule reviews to monitor performance and drive corrective actions across material management and cross-functional teams
• Develop weekly and monthly production plans incorporating demand forecasts, lead times, and inventory targets
• Prepare schedule reporting and variance analysis to support accurate financial projections and stakeholder decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sciences, or Engineering
• Five years of materials management experience including master production scheduling and inventory control
• Proficiency with computerized inventory systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with ability to interpret forecasts and demand-capacity analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills across all management levels and external partners
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities in dynamic, multitasking environments
