Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform a variety of duties in cleaning and sanitation and adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures. Your responsibilities will include, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing floors, washing walls, doors, windows, light fixtures, discarding trash in waste bins, cleaning, sanitizing and relining all trash containers and linen hampers. You will also be responsible for proper storage of housekeeping equipment and reporting equipment malfunctions.

Salary range: $21.05-$27.21 Hourly


Effective June 22, 2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.

• Demonstrated ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when working with and directing coworkers.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, customers, and colleagues while delivering a high level of customer service and teamwork.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of housekeeping equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, and pressure or steam cleaning equipment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate clearly in English.
• Proven ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
• Ability to work efficiently within defined time constraints.
• Strong listening, verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical requirements include the ability to frequently:
• Bend at the waist while standing.
• Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Stoop and squat.
• Twist and bend the neck forward and backward.
• Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
