We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Dental Assistant to support our dental team in delivering outstanding patient care. This role involves chairside assisting during various treatment procedures, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. This position offers the opportunity to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and possibly two half-day Saturdays from September to April.

Dental assistant

Clinical Assistance
Prepare and set up treatment rooms for dental procedures ensuring readiness and cleanliness
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories following all infection control protocols
Assist the dentist chairside during all types of dental treatments
Capture and process dental radiographic images to aid patient diagnosis and treatment planning
Provide patients with clear instructions on post-operative care and oral hygiene strategies
Administrative Support
Support patient education and counseling on dental care and treatment plans
Manage inventory of clinical supplies to prevent shortages and optimize readiness
General
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and HIPAA regulations
Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all patient and team interactions
Adapt and multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

part-time $28 - $34 per hour

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

Completion of accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental software systems
Solid understanding of dental assisting techniques and chairside support
Knowledge in prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dental procedures is preferred
Experience in sterilization, disinfection, and operating medical imaging equipment
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to multitask and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Previous experience in a family dental practice environment
Familiarity with oral hygiene counseling and post-operative care
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
