Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for a broad range of critical functions, including:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring function to patients.
• Leading assessment procedures to evaluate each client's range of motion, strength, and functional abilities through specialized diagnostic techniques.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and providing direct care during sessions, promoting patient motivation and engagement in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborating with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans, providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Conducting thorough assessments of the home environment for rehabilitation purposes and making customized recommendations to enhance client independence.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records by preparing documentation such as evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate and adjust the overall treatment strategy for each patient.
• Instructing clients and their families on the proper use of physical therapy equipment, ensuring they understand their ongoing care plans.
• Assuring timely submission of documentation and necessitated paperwork in alignment with company policy and protocol.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
